phylogenetic trees

topic posted Thu, August 26, 2004 - 9:40 PM by  James
so i was wondering what programs ppl are using to draw very nice looking phylogenetic trees? i really prefer radial/circular trees, for some reason the meaning is more clear to me than a rectangular tree.

so far i've been using the os9 version of treeviewppc because treeviewX doesn't draw radial trees. however i've noticed that the end node names sometimes become entangled and no amount of futzing will get them to become distinct.

any recommendations?
